Design:
Process
Instrumentation and Supervisory
Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)
In today's environment of cost conscious operation, including not only the
process portion of the system, but also the labor-intensive portion of
maintaining a system, the design of the control strategy and the hardware that
implements the strategy is critical. The engineering staff of D & D
Engineering is mindful of these various facets in their design of the individual
systems for each project. Projects are not alike, they have their own
identities in their process parameters as well as their client needs. Each
process design requires careful analysis of the correct instrumentation
application to allow the process to function correctly. The wrong choice
of a primary element instrument could result in improper operation and/or
continual maintenance problems with either the instrument or the system.
The individual instrumentation and the overall SCADA systems are designed
keeping both of these systems in balance. The overall cost of the system,
both from an initial installation standpoint, and from an upgrade/maintenance
standpoint are also factors in the final criteria for designing the best-fit
SCADA system.
The engineering staff of D & D Engineering maintains its cutting-edge technology
base by continual upgrade of their educational information of process
instrumentation and SCADA systems through seminars and other formal training.
